You are a good mother on days when you feel like you want to conquer the world.

You are still a good mother on days when you feel like the world wants to take you down.

You are a good mother in the days in which you respond assertively and with certainty to beat the stigmas and prejudices of society.

You are still a good mother on the days when you are silent and prefer to let it go.

You are a good mother when you tirelessly seek answers without giving up.

But you are still just as good when you fall and feel defeated.

You are a good mother when you give your children time and devotion to build unique experiences.

But you’re still a good mother when you take that time to yourself.

You are a good mother in the good and in the bad times. In the sweet and the bitter. When you speak up and when you remain silent. In what you show and what you hide. In what you can and in what you have not yet achieved. You are enough already.

Not every day is good, and you will never have all the answers. You will always make mistakes, and many times you will doubt yourself. Still, never doubt the power and influence of your love in the lives of your children. They will never forget how you responded to the challenges, not the falls.

Celebrate the days when you feel like you can do it all. Accept with love those in which you feel defeated. Listen to your heart and body, and take a break when necessary. Tomorrow will be a new day, and to return to the battle, you need to be strong, but above all, you must learn to believe that as life flows and when you are shielded in love, the answers come one by one. To be a good mother, all you need to do is be yourself, take what you have, and do the best you can. No one knows your life or feels what you feel.

And most importantly: You don’t owe anyone an explanation. Not everything has to be a battle, not everything has to be complicated, not everything has to be perfect, and it should never be a sacrifice but an act of love in which you do not feel that you are losing something, but rather you are winning everything. Let things flow and give up control to gain control.
